After installation of NVIDIA drivers for my GeForce 8800 GT my mouse is not working properly in GNOME anymore. I can move the cursor but I cannot click on anything. If I guide myself with the keyboard into any applications the mouse works just fine inside the application but I cannot close or move the windows using the mouse. It's an USB mouse + keyboard.

I used this guide for the installation of the NVIDIA drivers: https://www.if-not-true-then-false.co...

I saw that some people had similar problems but did not found a solution so far.

Thank you for the help!

So I found thin answer online: "Are you using synaptic drivers? GNOME 3.20 no longer is supporting that. If so, switch to libinput. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/To … nder_GNOME"

The problem is I'm kind of a beginner using Fedora, so I do not know how to find out if I already use libinput and if not how to install it. Can anybody tell me if this might be a solution to my problem and which steps I should do next?

dnf list libinput will tell you if it's installed or not.
