I the same issue with the MS sculpt keyboard. It detects it just fine but pairing ends with the same message you specified. I'd be interested in an answer to this as well.

I had the same issue with and was somewhat frustrated by the MS sculpt keyboard. It detects it just fine but pairing ends with the same message you specified. I'd be interested in an answer to this as well. complete lack of logging.

It turns out that the problem is that the wizard doesn't enable the agent so the pin is never displayed. To solve this issue just pair using "bluetoothctl"

Here' what I did more or less, at the bluetoothctl prompt it will list the id's of the discoverable devices. type the following:

agent on trust <dev id=""> // not sure if this is really needed but that's what i did pair <dev id=""> // it will ask you for a pin entry connect <dev id="">

After that the keyboard is paired :-)
