No. Gnome-software only lets you install GUI applications. It does not yet provide a method to install cli or as you call them, "advanced" packages. At the moment, gnome-software only lists packages with a desktop file, which covers packages that provide GUIs.

The target audience of gnome-software is "end-user that use the GUI" currently. Such users do not generally require development tools such as gcc from the command line, or terminal utilities. Having said that, providing a method to install terminal based applications has been discussed (on the fedora devel or desktop lists I think) and upstream has referred to the software designers for a solution. I hope there will be one in the future, but as things stand, gnome-software is only for GUI applications.
