Your installation seems to be "messed up" It doesn't seem to be related to UEFI, besides, Did your laptop came with Windows 8? Windows 7 computers does not have any "UEFI technology"...

Boot from a Linux LiveCD and install Gparted, then open Gparted and see your partition table... ┬┐is it OK? wich partitions do you have and in what formats? I recommend you to Reinstall Fedora using one of the preset options (use entire disk, use free space... etc) And then see what happens.

The problem seem to be related to a bad partitioning method, I asume you tried the "manual partitioning" am I right? Use one of the presets of anaconda and everything should work fine.
