My personal opinion is that this information is not correct, referring to the default installation (Fedora Workstation with Gnome). Running Gnome on Fedora, I would recommend at least:

  • 2GHz CPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • 20 GB unallocated drive space (incl. 4 GB for swap)

If you are concerned about requirements looking for a pleasant experience, you better have

  • 4 GB
  • 25 GB drive space (2 GB swap)

But as always: It all depends on your usage!
