I could successfully log in Gnome Xorg!! I had to remove an old custom file to get Xorg running smoothly on Skylake IGPs at F22/F23: /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf and reinstall libdrm and all xorg stuff: $ sudo dnf reinstall libdrm xorg-*.

However, there are points unresolved which seems unrelated. IMHO, they are not pertinent to the original question.

  • clinfo still emmit X server found. dri2 connection failed! on Xwayland but it runs smoothly on Xorg.
  • X -configure or X -configure -keeptty still crashing right after requiring the device /dev/dri/card0
