2014-10-24 11:47:49 -0600 asked a question How to dissable shift+ctrl+alt+up/down?

Hello,

Using Fedora 20. shift+ctrl+alt+up/down causes workspace to go up/down.

This combination is not listed in the navigation shortcuts so I can't find a way to dissable it. (I need that combo in another application).

I couldn't find a keybinding in dconf-editor for it either.

Does anyone know how to dissable that combo?

As a followup,

In the end I went with Wunderlist. It syncs nicely with the Android phone companion and I do like my point and clicking ^_^.

2014-02-22 14:59:16 -0600 answered a question Pulseaudio No notification sound when changing sound volume?

To answer my own question,,

I figured out the problem.

I was in the 'Sound effects' tab in the sound menu. I changed the alert sound back and forth between the available sounds, (Default, Bark, Drip etc..). Then I also noticed that the volume slider was very low, I cranked it up a bit. After that I can now hear the beep sound again.

I have Gnome running.

I kinda miss it because I often switch between headphones, bluetooth headphones and built-in sound, :-/

I still have regular sound. I can play music, get regular notifications beeps etc..

However, when I increase or decrease volume, usually I would get a little beeping sound. Now I don't get it anymore :-/

I haz no idea how to troubleshoot.

Any ideas?

Fedora 20, Macbook Air.

2013-12-31 19:07:16 -0600 asked a question Remap right-option to left-ctrl?

I'm using a Mac air that doesn't have a right-ctrl. I recently migrated to fedora 20 (GNOME).

My left pinky is killing me from pressing all that ctrl-c/v/s :-(

I want to re-map the 'right option' key (right alt) and instead turn it into a 'ctrl' button instead. (maybe the left one?)

It seems like it's got something to xmodmap, but I can't figure out whether xmodmap is universal to linux or KDE specific.

Would any one give me directions & leads to a tutorial?

2013-12-22 19:21:24 -0600 asked a question todo application that syncs with phone?

First time posting. Sorry if I break half the rules. Please let me know so I can correct my self.

I just migrated to Fedora from OS X. I'm looking for a Linux to-do application that has a counterpart app on the phone to sync tasks. (probably android).

I've spent a number of hours of research, but can't find a simple app that would get the job done. Would anyone recommend anything for me?

(wunderlist seems buggy on chrome) (todo.txt is a bit too texty, I would prefer something that would pop up with notifications etc..).

2013-12-21 13:43:47 -0600 answered a question Why doesn't the Dropbox repository for Fedora 19 work?

I had the same problem with Fedora 20. Hard coding it to 19 fixed the problem.
