2016-06-09 09:34:12 -0600 | asked a question | How to delete Fedora Update System comment? I noticed while testing code recently that a newer version of Firefox is available (only using Fedora 22), so I checked the updates-testing repository and updated it. Since it has been working well I followed the the tests here and tried marking it as +1... but for some reason I failed to notice I had selected ✕ instead of ✓... so I had accidentally given it -1. Adding a new +1 comment appeared to counteract it, but is there a way to edit or delete existing comments? |

However, it would be best to notify the Chrome developers that there is a problem (the problem is more likely due to Chrome not Fedora). Alternatively you can use Chromium, which has nearly all the features of Chrome and is packaged by fedora developers so should work better with Fedora (e.g. https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/... ) - the only thing is if you want Chrome's proprietary plugins you will have to add them manually from the Chrome RPM. |

2013-12-04 16:30:34 -0600 | answered a question | password need bypassing. I'm stuck. If you have only the BIOS menu access, you should be able to change the boot-up password and the BIOS passwords - but you cannot change anything in the Operating System - especially any system or user passwords. These are encrypted and are near impossible to crack - more here. This is one of the wonders, and pains of Linux - unlike Windows, you can't just decode the password... If you have no access to your Fedora install at all, you should be able to install other the top it or beside, leaving the /home file which should contain all your data. If it is the login password (what you would need to login), you can change it by logging in as either as root (use If it is the root password you are on about, you have to login as root in terminal and type If it is the BIOS password, you need to enter the BIOS setup as Administrator, and change the User password, or the Administrator password in the 'Security' section. |
