2011-12-09 12:55:02 -0600 answered a question Org-mode rpm available?

org-mode is already part of emacs-common package, which should be installed when emacs was installed.

Run emacs and see that you can manually run org-mode:

Alt-X org-mode RETURN

Thank you for the link. I managed to logout and remove gnome-screensaver, then login. Xscreensaver was running instead, so that worked out fine. The only problem now is manually locking screen fails with "Couldn't execute command: gnome-screensaver-command --lock".

It seems like in Fedora 16, Screen Lock will blank the screen, and no screensaver is shown.

I used to enable screensaver that displays custom text message during Screen Lock in Fedora 14 so when I step out people can see my screen and know where I am. Now I cannot do that with Fedora 16.

Any ideas how to enable displaying of custom message during Screen Lock?
