2013-03-21 02:16:57 -0500 asked a question Fedora 18 won't boot after removing ATI fglrx drivers

I tried out ATI proprietary drivers, turns out they suck™ (I've never seen such buggy antialiasing before), so I wanted to remove them. I did this:

yum remove akmod-catalyst xorg-x11-drv-cata*
yum reinstall mesa-libGL

After reboot I'm stuck on splash screen.

EDIT: I removed /etc/X11/xorg.conf using live usb. Now it boots but it is SO SLOW (+50% CPU usage when idle)
