The system was distro-synced after my upgrade as adviced. Today still up-to-date. I have restarted gdm.service a dozen times after each update; the errors persist.

2013-02-20 09:28:59 -0600	commented question	After update of Fedora 18 screen blinks 4-5 times; no GDM Thanks lnxslck, i got this; systemd[1]: sssd.service: control process exited, code=exited status=4 systemd[1]: Failed to start System Security Services Daemon. systemd[1]: Unit sssd.service entered failed state and from journalctl: sssd[3624]: Cannot read config file /etc/sssd/sssd.conf, please check if permissions are 0600 and the file is own systemd[1]: sssd.service: control process exited, code=exited status=4 systemd[1]: Failed to start . But /etc/sssd/ is empty...
