2016-10-06 09:23:06 -0600 asked a question Downgrade PHP 7.X to 5.X

Hey guys, i wanted to use DVWA (Damn Vulnerable Web Application) to try and test SQL-Injections on my own "server", but after following several tutorials i am stuck at some point.

I managed to open the http://localhost/ website and i am able to select the DVWA Folder, but when i click on it, it says: The Connection was reset!

Up to this point I installled apache2, mysql-server, mysql-client, php5 php5-mysql php-pear, php5-gd like it is said in the README of DVWA and then started mysql, set up a password and configured the config file of DVWA to that password. I also restarted mysql and apache2.

But in the README it says, that PHP v7.0 or later are not supported. So i used php -v to check, and it says that i have PHP v7.0.11-1!

So how do i downgrade PHP from v7.0.11-1 to a version, which compatible with DVWA?

Thanks in Advance! (Im asking this for Kali and/or Fedora..)

2016-10-02 14:27:53 -0600 asked a question SSLStrip with Fedora?

Hey Guys,

i wanted to perfom a MITM Attack on my own network, and followed several tutorials on how to use sslstrip, iptables and arpspoof.

But if I perform the attack, i lose the connection on the target device for almost every website, except google, facebook and some others.. Could it be that i lose connection to websites, which are just HTTP protected and not HTTPS like the bigger websites??

The sslstrip.log file is always empty, but sslstrip is running.. here is the command order i used: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --destination-port 80 -j REDIRECT --to-ports 8080

arpspoof -i wlp3s0 -t -r

sslstrip -l 8080

to look whats going on, i use "tail -f sslstrip.log"

I hope you can tell me what im doing wrong..

EDIT: I used the ettercap method now, and it worked! After configuring the firewall with iptables just use

ettercap -T -q -i <interface> -M ARP:REMOTE /TargetIP//

Then start sslstrip like i mentioned above and use urlsnarf to have an overview over visited websites.

Here my interfeace is wlp3s0:

wlp3s0: flags=4163<up,broadcast,running,multicast> mtu 1500 inet netmask broadcast inet6 2003:85:ee33:e500:b77b:9dd8:aefd:f68f prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x0<g< p="">

But cant be my real IP Address, because if i go to whatsmyip it says something else on every other device connected to the router.

2016-09-29 05:45:57 -0600 asked a question Ip-Address and eth0 not shown!!

Hey Guys,

whenever i use ifconfig in the terminal, there is no eth0 like there should be, and i am not able to see my IP-Address. If i use normal wifi, should there be eth0? And if yes, why isn't it showing up in my ifconfig?

My local network "lo" is displayed in ifconfig, but if use ifconfig eth0 it says, that there is no device found..

I am using Fedora 24, with Dual Boot (Win10). If you need any further information, please ask me.

Thanks in advance!!

2016-09-27 06:05:09 -0600 answered a question VirtualBox and the "modprobe vboxdrv failed" problem

Guys, for me the solution was to turn off the Secure Boot in my BIOS. To do that i had to set a "superviser password" first, in order to get permission to change the SecureBoot.

I guess its different for every laptop/computer just look it up on the internet, how to disable SecureBoot for your Computer, and one possible problem is out of the way!!

2016-09-26 19:30:47 -0600 asked a question VirtualBox and the "modprobe vboxdrv failed" problem

Hey Guys, this is my first day using Linux (Fedora 24) and i have looked through several Guides and Videos to install VirtualBox 5.1 on my System. I followed this Guide step by step, and had no Problems so far.

I installed the Fedora Files, updated (dnf update) and installed the dependency packages (dkms etc). The Kernel Versions matched after i rebooted. The Installation was also successful.

But after i wanted to "rebuild the kernels" (/usr/lib/virtualbox/ setup), i got an error:

" failed: modprobe vboxdrv failed. Please use 'dmesg' to find out why."

I used the dmesg command, but since i started today i do not understand a thing... I will attach it to the post. And i read many threads, which had the same problems, but nothing seems to work.

If you need any further information, tell me and i will post them. I really want to get this to work, since i spend more than 10 hours today to get it to work...
