2017-12-27 22:32:57 -0600 commented answer rpmfusion nvidia driver doesn't load from kernel 14.4

Thanks, installed the negativo nvidia drivers without hitches but still loading nouveau.. until I saw this :

https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/ques...

with solution of:

sudo akmods --force reboot

update: removed and reinstall again from software center as negativo nvidia is available there now. Also have to install the 32-bit drivers

dnf install nvidia-driver-libs.i686

to get my old wine games to work

2017-12-21 05:48:44 -0600 asked a question rpmfusion nvidia driver doesn't load from kernel 14.4

Hi,

Installed rpmfusion nvidia driver and was happy gaming on wine all the way until Fedora 27 kernel 14.4.x broke it completely, fails to load and fallback to nouveau driver instead. Now no more wine games. (Skyrim 10 FPS) No longer happy camper.

If I load kernel 14.3.x it works perfecty.

Tried reinstalling rpmfusion driver. No joy. Keep updating kernel to 14.4.6. No joy.

Oh, I believe in yesterday.

I am using Nvidia driver from the fusion repo. Works great on X11 (not Wayland as I use wine for gaming). Tried the Nvidia proprietary driver before but encountered issues.

2017-07-29 01:09:47 -0600 asked a question Maintaining your inkjet printer to prevent clogging

To maintain your inkjet printer and prevent clogging,

  1. Download a printer test page picture and save to a home directory (i.e. http://igloo.refreshcartridges.co.uk/... )

  2. vi /etc/anacrontab

  3. amend to your directory, file and add the following line:

@daily 0 testprint lpr /home/user/Documents/Printer/Inkjet-Test-Page-2.jpg

So it does a test print everyday / whenever you log in. Reuse used paper to be eco friendly

Smbclient works fine:

[root@sgwkskev01 kev]# smbclient //192.168.1.19/s -mSMB3 -UKevin
Enter Kevin's password:
Domain=[SGSVR01] OS=[] Server=[]
smb: \>

But could not mount:

[root@sgwkskev01 kev]# mount -t cifs -o username=Kevin,password=******** //sgsvr01/s /mnt/a
mount error(112): Host is down
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
