Why a different default filesystem for Workstation vs Server?

Back in Fedora 21, the default filesystem on Server installs only was switched to XFS. For Workstation, it stayed with ext4. I'm curious why Workstation wasn't switched to XFS as well. Does anyone know the actual reasoning from decision-makers inside the Fedora project for this split? It seems to me that if it was worth changing Server, why not change Workstation as well and only maintain one default filesystem.
