some times when i use an app i drag it to the top right edge of the screen ( to take the right half of the screen ) but some times it just disappear i know the app is running because when i press alt+tab its there what is the deal here?

some times when i use an app i drag it I have installed the vlc recently and every thing was working just fine but, today I tried to play a movie and no video 'visual" was played only the top right edge sound of the screen ( video I tried to take reinstall it using
$ sudo dnf reinstall vlc
but it didn't work what's the right half problem here
And is there a way to make the preinstalled movie player on fedora play all kinds of the screen )
but some times it just disappear

please recommend a video player if you tried one where is the app how can i see it again?thank you
