Can't share folders in Gnome Boxes via SPICE

Hello,

I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 (x86_64) guest in Gnome Boxes on Fedora 29 (x86_64). I can't properly share folders via SPICE protocol. I expected to be able to share host folders like described here for example.

More details:

Clipboard sharing works properly in both directions.

When on guest I install following packages: $ sudo apt install spice-vdagent spice-client-gtk

Then in Boxes (host) I can "Send File" from host to guest. When I remove listed packages, restart the guest, then I can't send files, i.e. "something" works.

When I attach USB memory stick to host, then it appears in Boxes > Properties > Devices & Shares. Although I enable it to be seen in the guest, it's not.

I can share ISO file from host to guest, remove it and add it back again.

Any thoughts where the problem might be? Any other easy way of sharing data in Gnome Boxes, other than SPICE?

Thank you,

Juraj
