can't ping or telnet to printer: Can't get networked printer setup via hplip or CUPS

I recently reinstalled Fedora 27 on my laptop. I cannot get my HP printer to show up when I try to setup via hplip or CUPS. I have adjusted the firewall, but still not working. Any suggestions? I have included an attachment showing a snippet of the IN Public allow iptables firewall rules. I can't ping or telnet to it which is strange. It worked fine before I did the reinstall. I've selected various ports to have open. What is really odd is that my wireless printer shows up as one of the wireless connections I can connect to. I entered the credentials for it and I was able to use it as a wireless access point, but still can't get the printer to show up in hplip or CUPS. Frustrating. Thanks.
