Is Fedora expect to be 'unstable'?

First time to use redhat based linux. Fedora 26 workstation 64bit installed in VMware Workstation 14.

After initial installation. Everything is OK. Can boot to Gnome, blah, blah, blah. Then after restart. Show "Failed to start Virtualization daemon", libvirtd.service cannot start due to error while loading shared libraries blah, blah, blah. Whatever.

I run "yum update" to install any available update. Found that the kernel update too. Now can boot to Gnome again. Everything is OK. Then after restart. Found the other problems. Those essential app cannot start, include "Settings", "Terminal", "Software", etc.

Honestly, I never experience such problems when using Ubuntu.
