Noticeable slowdown when using Fedora 25 on ThinkPad T500. Graphics driver problem?

I've installed Fedora 25 as a fresh clean install on my ThinkPad T500. I haven't used Fedora since about Fedora 18.

I installed Enlightenment to try it out and initially was impressed. However, the more I used it the more I noticed how the laptop would struggle to open windows. Opening pages in Vivaldi and Firefox were noticeably slow and jerky when opening different types of web pages.

I switched back to Gnome 3, thinking it was just englightenment being slow. The issues persist on this window manager as well. The laptop is slow to open programs, pages etc, like it's doing a million and one things at the same time.

Is anyone able to help me identify the solution to this problem?

Edit: The specs of my laptop are: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz × 2 4GB RAM 160GB Hard Drive

I do have Intel integrated graphics, which the Gnome System Information is showing as "Unknown". So I'm thinking this is a graphics driver issue.

I ran lspci -v | less and this is the output for the VGA and Graphics Controllers:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Lenovo Device 20e4 Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 30 Memory at f4400000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4M] Memory at d0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M] I/O ports at 1800 [size=8] [virtual] Expansion ROM at 000c0000 [disabled] [size=128K] Capabilities: <access denied=""> Kernel driver in use: i915 Kernel modules: i915
