System will not halt

Hi everyone

Just change distro from ArchLinux to Fedora 25. I've got a issue where my system wont shut down. You shut down from menu in DE or CLI and the system will power down for a sec and then power back on. Same issue happened with Arch as well. If turn off support for intel USB3 in the motherboard UFEI, system will halt at shutdown.

Mother board is a Asrock H97M Pro4 and I have update to latest BIOS 2.10.

Has anyone else had the same sort of issue that can point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance

I have some sort of similar issues with other boxes, the issue was on the bios settings, that bios has an operative system option, it only have two choices Windows 7.X and Windows 8.X, if it was set on Windows 7.X I will have issues if set on Windows 8 it works. The real issue is a BIOS incompatibility with some standard, do not remember which was. Hope this help.

If you do not have and option like that on your Bios then look at what chipset options on your Bios and try to change it, to see if you make it work. There is no other options as Bios rules those settings. good Luck.
