I installed fedora 17 with encrypted fs/lvm. Worked fine. Ran yum update, now booting new kernel (3.3.4.5 -> 3.5.3.1) gives me a kernel panic, before entering passwd for encrypted fs.

Due to low battery yum update got interrupted, but fixed this. Did run grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

How did you "fix" yum update getting interrupted? Also, a kernel panic does not imply grub breakage. More information please?
