PRIVACY: F25 screen saver / lock multi-monitor fail
Hello,
Just upgraded my dual-screen setup to Fedora 25 (from F23) over the weekend. When I invoke the screensaver / lock my computer, only the screen with the mouse pointer in it at that time displays the screensaver / locks. The other screen, while inaccessible with the keyboard or mouse, remains plainly visible. I can e.g. watch the system monitor applet in the toolbar scroll by.
Additionally, the actual action of locking the screen appears to not take effect at first -- both screens remain visible; only when I e.g. press a key, or move the mouse, does the one screen appear locked and ask for the password to unlock.
Finally, when testing various screensavers, again only one of the screens display the screensaver being tested.
Apologies if this is a duplicate. If not, I'll gladly provide more info, just need to know what and how.
Thanks, Pwrob
no solution here, but an observation to add: After waking up from sleep mode you see often for 2 seconds the desktop until the screensaver gets "active" and shows the lock screen.
What DE are you using? (gnome?).
I use MATE as my window manager. If I should try different options (managers, screensaver invocations, parameters, what have you), let me know what and how.
I believe the Mate maintainer is aware of the issue, filing a issue
https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-...
or here

Is more likely to yield a fix than asking here.
