Hi, I am very much enjoying Fedora 25, but I have a problem with graphic cards.

inxi -G

Graphics: Card-1: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Kaveri [Radeon R6/R7 Graphics] Card-2: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Jet PRO [Radeon R5 M230] Display Server: Fedora X.org 119 drivers: ati, radeon (unloaded: fbdev, vesa) Resolution: 1920x1080@60.01hz GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on AMD KAVERI (DRM 2.46.0 / 4.8.13-300.fc25.x86_64, LLVM 3.8.0) GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 13.0.2

Switcheroo tells me permission denied. I cannot even turn on the discrete graphics card.

If I try modifications to the graphics setup then the computer will eventually freeze with many random small blue squares appearing.

So, I need STABILITY, and it would be nice to enjoy higher resolution video.

But everywhere I look regarding the chipset or switcheroo (inc. Permission denied) are complex instructions I cannot easily understand or are enigmatic at best. I don't know how to modify grub, modeset, etc.

I really need help and guidance to have this Lenovo z50-75 running properly. Your help and suggestions would be very welcome. I do not worry about batter drain, at this point I am concerned in my frustration only with stability first and good video second.

Also, any advice on suitable hardware acceleration is welcome. I am desperate as the system crashed while I was instaling inxi. These issues were worse on another popular distro.

Thank you.
