Fedora 25 - VLC freezes the laptop when in fullscreen

Since updating to Fedora 25, whenever I turn VLC into fullscreen, my UI freezes. I can here the sound of the video but that's it, nothing else responds.

EDIT

I realized I could redirect the command output to a file. Here is what I did :

vlc > vlc.txt > 2>&1

Here is the output. I don't believe there is anything meaningful. The content didn't change when the laptop froze.

I has a similar freezing problem with a pico motherboard with baytrail CPU. baytrail CPU was known for that issue. video froze my mouse and pc after minutes or hours. finally i fixed it. please see

I tried adding intelidle.maxcstate=1 to the kernel parameters and there is a significant improvement, but the issue is not completely solved.

In my case, whenever VLC freezes, the session exited unexpectedly. After adding the above parameter, the video freezes only if I frequently seek the video (from the VLC status bar). Any thoughts?
