FISh (Friendly Interactive Shell) (fishshell.com) (just to be redundantly clear) says it should be in the Fedora repos, but it doesn't show up when do I a yum search...

I'm running Fedora 16 x64, if that possibly matters.

It looks like it's been orphaned: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/name/fish.

This is answered question, please mark it. The package WAS in Fedora, now it is NOT in Fedora.

I agree with Stanislav. If you want to use the package, please step in and maintain it. That's what FOSS is about. There are no "should"s. If you want something done, do it yourself :)

The reasoning that put fish in the repo is because someone volunteered to maintain it and yes, if you are interested in having it in the repo again, doing it yourself is a reasonable way of ensuring that.
