Fedora 25 and 24 live fails to boot (black screen)
I tried f25 dvd and f24 usb, both act the same. Grub(or whatever loader that is) shows flne, but after selecting option screen goes blank with just a cursor in the tor right corner and computer hangs up completely. F21 (urgraded from 19) works just fine on same pc (Acer TravelMate 4750G).
If I remove "quiet" from kernel options there are some messages (see image) but they aren't of any help to me: http://imgur.com/a/4OxDL
I also tried adding every related kernel option I could find with no effect whatsoever:
- nomodeset
- nouveau.modeset=0
- rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau
- nomodule single
- inst.xdriver=vesa
- intel_pstate=no_hwp
So I'm out of ideas now.
Uefi or Bios? Created USB accordingly? A non-UEFI capable boot device will hang with (U)EFI firmware...
That's how a BIOS start menu looks like: https://fedoraproject.org/w/uploads/3...
And that is how a UEFI start menu looks like: https://fedoraproject.org/w/uploads/d...

UEFI. I don't remember how I created that usb but since dvd is not working either that shouldn't be the issue here. Also I installed previous versions of Fedora just fine on this pc, from both dvd and usb.
