kernel panic after grub menu selection
i have a laptop running fc25, i have been running 24 and updated when the update came out, everything was fine aside from having to modprobe my wireless card, 1. i updated using a simple dnf update as root. EDIT( i might have ctrl + z the process bc it was taking a bit long, then i re ran dnf update and read nothing to do! so i didn't think much of it.) 2. rebooted it and let grub select the latest 4.8.11 kernel ( the one ive been using) 3. i got a kernel panic:/ 4. also my hardrive is encrypted but no prompt was outputed before the kernel panic. message is :Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
I am able to select the old kernel 4.8.10. and log in no problems, but i would like to know how to get the latest kernel to work, help would be greatly apreciated
