I like the new release, but what happened to the blue grubbackground og boot screen. Design decisions or?

Fedora 16 uses GRUB2 and the theme format is different and the design team didn't get around to customizing it for this release. Not a design decision.

We are both right. The plymouth design is deliberate. GRUB2 in Fedora 16 however lacks any theme because design team didn't find time

You probably mean the plymouth boot splash. Yes, it is a design decision to change it to dark gray. It looks better this way.
