image descriptionHello Fedora community,

I'm using Huawei CE0682 modem and Fedora 17. I can access internet using the mobile broadband connection but the dialer software of this modem is not detecting the device while it is still working fine with mobile broadband. I already have installed the dialer software successfully.

See the screen shot for more info if you like.

Thank in advance.

I think you'd better be off asking Idea about the issue. Since their software is closed source, we have no idea how it functions, or even how you're supposed to use it.

Is there a reason you want to use their software when network manager already functions though?

uhm, but how would you have information about a closed source software? :(

A lot of work has gone into networkmanager to make it work with mobile broadband networks. If you choose to use the vendors program, the vendor is the one who can help you troubleshoot it. All we can do is guess, which is bad troubleshooting :(
