Broadcom BCM4312 was removed and replaced with Intel WM3945ABG in Dell Vostro 1510 but am still unable to connect wifi using 32 bit Fedora 24. Intel site does not provide a hardware detector for Linux so it is uncertain if the new card is correctly installed; nor am I confident about how to run a driver download once the card is properly connected.

That is interesting did you go to Dell support page, they have some videos that you can follow on the installation of the card. After that it's use the links based on your model# to look for the driver, then download to your machine, go into your /usr/lib/firmware this where Fedora 24 keeps all drivers for anything that needs firmware so you can go in before to look around. I had the same issue with Broadcom same routine. for anyone looking for Broadcom firmware tool you can some at http://rpm.pbone.net for Fedora 24 version and others.
