lsusb shows:

[root@mythtv ~]# lsusb
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 2040:1605 Hauppauge

but the device /dev/dvb is not appearing. Google find some pages where poeple load the em28xx module via:

modprobe em28xx

in my dmesg then appears:

[ 585.015372] IR NEC protocol handler initialized
[ 585.021369] IR RC5(x) protocol handler initialized
[ 585.022165] Linux media interface: v0.10
[ 585.026790] IR RC6 protocol handler initialized
[ 585.028951] Linux video capture interface: v2.00
[ 585.050341] IR JVC protocol handler initialized
[ 585.055495] IR Sony protocol handler initialized
[ 585.060900] IR MCE Keyboard/mouse protocol handler initialized
[ 585.065543] usbcore: registered new interface driver em28xx
[ 585.065551] em28xx driver loaded
[ 585.068385] lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, major 249
[ 585.080332] IR LIRC bridge handler initialized

i see there no firmware loading request. The support for this card was announced on 2011-11-21. Maybe here is someone more clued and can tell me when the kernel support this usb stick, or what can i do to get it working.

Thanks a lot Daniel

When you say support for this was announced, you mean in the kernel? That doesn't imply it was added to the stable kernel release. It could be in staging? You should file a bug against the kernel on bugzilla.redhat.com, and let the kernel maintainers look at it. They'll know exactly what's going on with it.
