Will Fedora 24 install on a 1Gb Ram machine?

I own a small laptop with 1Gb ram. Will F24 install on it?

Hi,

depends on what you want to do. Fedora 24 Release Notes recommend the following min specs:

1GHz or faster processor
1GB System Memory
10GB unallocated drive space

Be aware: With 1 GB RAM you won't be able to run Gnome nicely. I would recommend you taking a look at the various less demanding Desktop Environments that are used in Fedora Spins.

Especially, XFCE Desktop and LXDE are not that ressource-hungry.

I'm responding to this question from a basic netbook with 1GB RAM. This forum is one of several tabs open in Firefox. Processor is a wimpy Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N570 @ 1.66GHz. I'm on F24 LXDE spin.
