I'm trialing Fedora by running it from a USB stick. It runs the internet via cable but it can't even find my router wirelessly.

I'm completely new to this! I'm hoping to improve my laptop (Dell Vostro 1510) with this OS.

I suspect it is because your dell system is shipped with a Broadcomm wireless adapter.

Go through this page first. I suspect you'll need to go to this page after that(if the hardware is indeed Broadcomm).

The question has already been asked. Please let me know if it is broadcom, in which case I will close this question as a duplicate.
