Hello,

I'm using Fedora 16 with two identical usb printers (oki B6500) connected to same computer. System-config-printer just detect and install one of them. The first printer turned on is used by cups. The second one can't be installed and just can be used if it was turned on first. Kernel detects both generating two device /dev/usb/lp? Is it a bug? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance. Ricardo Coelho.

It sounds like a bug. Most likely this printer doesn't report a serial number in its IEEE 1284 Device ID. Please file a bug report at bugzilla.redhat.com and we can investigate. Include the output of "lpinfo -l -v" with both printers attached and powered on.
