Unable to edit wifi connections
I'm running SL 6 on a fujitsu laptop. I was able to remove my default keyring password, and now the login password seen in seahorse is my current one. I want to edit my wifi connections so that they don't automatically logon. I can bring up the editing window, but the apply button never becomes activated. Only the cancel button works.
Is your user admin on that machine?
While I don't recommend this, if desperate you could delete the following: /home/username/.config/dconf/user file as it holds those settings. Realize that other settings that are tied to your account would also be lost as well. Hopefully someone has a better idea...
Don't delete the dconf file, it doesn't contain network information.
What is SL 6?
Please explain what you did with your keyring. Which login password do you see in seahorse? NetworkManager manages all the network configuration information. It normally doesn't store passwords in your keyring unless you are using WPA(2) Enterprise or possibly if you set the connection to only be for your user (I've never tried that). If you go to the Reset section of the wi-fi configuration, can you reset or forget the connection?
