Touchpad settings are not applied
I have a Dell Latitute E5570 with Fedora 23 64bit running Cinnamon.

When using Cinnamon's settings, the changes I make are not applied, for example: Tap to click, Reverse scrolling, Three-Finger-Tap or any other option, not even deactivating the touchpad works.
I do not know the vendor of the touchpad.
# synclient
Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?
I did not try enforcing it with a xorg-config file. Is there a way to check why the settings are not applied or saved? journalctl -f
shows no entry concerning the touchpad, Xorg.0.log also not.
