Hi all, A basic run down on my problem is this, Fedora 23/24 causes my monitors to cycle between off and on while on the lock screen leading to a glitched display and crash.

Basic Specs

  • Asrock Z97 Extreme 4
  • Intel i5 with HD4600
  • Fedora 23
  • Default Install options, Wayland.

I have 3 monitors attached to Intel 4600 video, via DVI, Display port (Display port to HDMI) and HDMI while on the lock screen when the displays go to sleep the display port monitor goes blue as if its going to sleep then it, goes to sleep, within a few seconds of that happening they cycle back on and repeat the process, eventually leading to a garbled graphics lock screen that responds to input but does not change the display in any way. switching to vtty1 will allow me to login again but does nothing to the started session.

in my troubleshooting, I have narrowed it down to the display port connected display (remove it everything woks fine, add it back and boom). Also Ubuntu (X11) has no issues with the display at all.

Currently I am at a loss as to how to troubleshoot/proceed, and Google has not been helpful (It returns ways of NOT letting them go to sleep.)
