Fedora 17 live cd fail
I am new to Linux and want to try Fedora. I was having a similar problem installing Ubuntu 12 so perhaps my situation is hardware related. I have looked at several forums and have seen several work arounds which all have failed for me. I am unable to boot from a usb device so am using a DVD.
I receive the following error after selecting "Start Fedora 17"
on the boot screen.
dracut Warning: Unable to process initqueue
dracut Warning: /dev/disk/by-label/Fedora-17-i686-Live-Deskyop.iso does not exist
dracut Warning: /dev/mapper/live-rw does not exist
Dropping to debug shell
dracut:/#
Several others have been able to bypass this error by adjusting the boot command at the boot menu to take out the .iso reference and replace it with a disk label? This has not been a solution that has worked for me. Any links to possible solutions would be greatly appreciated. The linux command line is a foreign language to me that I would like to learn.
