I am new in fedora. I am downloading a file using wget in the terminal in fedora 23. Initially when i start to download the file i used -b command for completing the task in the background. So i wanted to know how to see this background action in terminal.
Try jobs to see all jobs and jobs -r to see only running jobs in the background. That will give you the status of the running jobs (stopped, ongoing, finished...) but not the progress.
Here are the common other commands to play with foreground/background :

I don't think, you can see it if you move it to background. That's the whole point of moving it to background.
