Intel HD 3000 Fedora 18: Cursor Issue

The cursor keeps blinking, going invisible, then reappearing and blinking again in an endless cycle. I know this may be due to faulty drivers in the kernel for the Intel graphics. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? I am running Fedora 18 x64 on an HP Pavilion g6 laptop with 4gb of DDR3 ram and a intel i3 processor.

Hi, have you tried these? http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-010512.htm

there are also Linux* versions (.run shell arhives) when you click on appropriate driver series.

Just guessing. Have you enabled that option on mouse/touchpad configuration where it says something like "disable touchpad while typing"?
