I need some direction. I've had some experience with MS movie maker. I'm looking for stepping it up with some real software, especially something that has a filter that will take my iPhone videos look old-ish, like an 8 mm aged home movie. Any thoughts?

Googled yet? First link: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/top5-linux-video-editing-system-software/

I think most of them are available in Fedora repos. Install them, see which one suits you.

I recommend OpenShot; You can install OpenShot, ffdiaporama or Lives with Postinstallerf

I haven't used much video editing software. One software available is Openshot that is available in repos. Hopefully this helps.
