I'm running the Fedora 17 LXDE spin and am trying to connect to a FreeNAS Windows share (CIFS) via Gigolo. I remember being able to connect via Gigolo when I was using Ubuntu (Gnome) since there I was able to select Windows Share under "server type" in the connection settings dialogue box. All I can select now is SSH, FTP, WebDAV, Secure WebDAV and custom location. Is there some package I have to install via Yum in order to get support for Windows Shares?

The same FreeNAS volume is also configured as an Apple (AFP) (tried with a Mac, works there) and Unix (NFS) (never tried to connect) share, so if anyone could help me connect to those that would also solve my problem.

I had the same problem with Fedora 20 xfce, I had to install the gvfs-smb package.

Note : gvfs-fuse, samba-client and cifs-utils where already installed, not sure if they are needed too.

You should install the package "samba-client".
