Expanding home
Hi, Can I expand the home in fedora 17 xfce by reinstalling the OS and by selecting the / partition not to format? I want to preserve my all settings and installations, is there any other ways?

It depends on the size of your hard disk. But first, make a backup.
Then I'd resize /
to make room for a new partition, format it and mount it as /home2
, Then copy my files to /home2/myuser
. Cleanup the old /home
and configure /etc/fstab
to mount the new partition as /home
.
You can do all that just before reinstalling. You'll fell more confortable next time you install Fedora.
