I have a HP Mini 110. Did a fresh install of Fedora 23 and can't connect either wired or wifi. The solution to wifi is downloading drivers but can't do it if I can't get it to connect wired. Network manager displays "cable unplugged" even when its plugged.

lspci | grep Ether

02:00.0 Ethernet Controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR8132 Fast Ethernet (rev c0)

ifconfig enp2s0 enp2s0: Flags=4099<up,broadcast,multicast> mtu 1500 ether 00:26:55:ca:35:DD txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet) RX packets 0 bytes 0 ...(everything 0)

Ps: I'm posting from my phone, since I can't use laptop for internet

can you connect your phone to you pc using bluethoot or usb wire and share your phone Internet with your pc so you can install drivers?

Yes i can. Ifconfig shows a new enp0s29f7u2 when connected to USB, but network manager doesn't show any network.

One of Jerry Pournelle's laws says that you should always check the cables first. Try unplugging the cable at both ends, then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, try a different cable. And, for that matter, if you're using a router or hub and it (or your modem) has more than one port, try a different port. If nothing works, you may have a bad NIC.

@sideburns the thing is I had windows yesterday, everything worked perfectly. The problem came up with the installation of fedora. Maybe running installation again? Maybe I used the wrong image? (livedesktop_i686 or something)

Even so, it's worth checking the cables. Re-installing to "solve" a problem is mostly a Windows habit; with Linux, it's normally possible to fix things without that. If you installed from a Live USB, or can get one, try booting into the live environment and see if you can get to the Internet from there.
