Hello, I'm new to fedora, more used to ubuntu or mint. I have the french version of fedora and when I want to open a mp3 or a mpeg4 film, it tells me to a install a decoder for mp3 or mpeg4. It proposes to install but when I accept nothing happens. Since the name of the package needed is given in french I don't even know how to install it by commandd > yum install, since to do that you need the original name in english. And anyway I'm not very good at terminal ligns. Perhaps there is a library or a decoder in yum extender, but I didn't find it, despite looking with keywords such as "codecs", "decoder" "mp3" or even "ffmpeg"...

Could somebody give me the name of the exact package in yum extender I need to install to have mp3 and MPeg4

This question has been asked and answered hundreds of times; even you can see a direct link on the home page ... "Frequently Sought posts"

It seems the frequently sought posts are not visible enough on the home page...

Should I make them bold if that'll help? Askbot doesn't have "sticky" posts unfortunately - otherwise I'd have stuck these posts at the top of the list.

@FranciscoD_: Why not giving it a try. Or can you move the colum

The columns cant be moved I'm afraid. It's a fixed sidebar. The contents can be changed, but not the positioning etc (not without patching askbot I mean)

Above comment was supposed to be longer but somehow the edit wasn't saved. Nonetheless you got what I wanted to say. Since moving the sidebar to the left is not easily doable (and wouldn't look good), try it with a bold or larger font, I'd say.

You need to install repos free and nonfree, then install individual codecs or install mplayer, ffmpeg or vlc so it will install the codecs as dependecies.
