Running Opera on Fedora 23?
I downloaded Opera 35 beta (opera-beta_35.0.2066.10_amd64.deb), extracted it and I can't seem to figure out how to run it. I tried a few different scripts using terminal, but I hardly use Linux and when I had, it was Fedora 16, so I'm incredibly rusty and basically starting fresh with Linux again. The location of my download is in the downloads folder. How do I execute this? The Fedora 23 I downloaded had Firefox installed. I don't like Firefox. Also, what script would I run to uninstall that? (I don't even know where it's located).
I believe Fedora 23 is rpm based? I don't know how to convert deb to rpm. I realize this is probably a long process. Please help!
Thank you so much.
You can download Opera for Fedora from Opera.com . It’s right there on the front page.
