I installed Fedora 16 on my 4 GB USB drive successfully for my HP netbook. The problem is anytime I try to install updates (400+) or a new app like LibreOffice I get a black screen after several minutes of what looks like a successful install. If I opt to us Yum commands with the terminal, all goes well for about 20 minutes but then I encounter the black screen. Could this be because 4 GB is too small of a USB drive for the updates, etc? I am a noobie so appreciate the help

First you should read recommended disk sizes then, It possible to stuck for small size, also your usb read/write speed can effect your system speed.
