error message

so I downloaded a disk image to a usb, then I used the live usb creator and made the usb bootable. when I try to boot into it I get error: file `/isolinux/vmlinuzo not found error: you need to load the kernel first please help. I need to make a live usb to boot into fedora for school and have assignments I need to do

I may have found a reason for this error, if you look here you can see that UEFI booting isn't supported with the liveUSB creator, I've not yet tested it myself but using a different utility to create the liveUSB image should fix it.

Sounds like the process of creating live usb didn't go well.

Get access to any other system you can install Unetbootin on and try again. Just make sure you select the right partition / drive at the bottom of the program window. If it still won't boot but with a different error than the one you described initially - repeat the live usb creation but with a newly downloaded iso image file.

Unetbootin can also download selected linux distribution for you (top part of the window). It's more convenient but it usually takes longer.
