When I go to websites or connect to an SSH server, there is sometimes a delay of about 5 minutes before the connection is established. The problem happens quite infrequently. It started occurring recently, in September or October. I wonder if anyone else is seeing this, and if it could be related to some changes in the kernel? It seems that my computer sends a lot of (IPv4) SYN packets, but receives no reply. I tried to measure packet loss, and it is less than 1 in 20k to my wireless router (when under load) and less than 1 in 250 to an online test. Packet loss wouldn't explain this problem anyway, as a lot of SYN packets are sent.

It was just a weird hardware problem with my access point. Nothing to see here, sorry for wasting your time
