Fedora 23 GDM changing WM

Hi,

I want to give i3 a try. I installed it and I have the right .desktop file for i3 but on the GDM login page I cannot find the place to actually start i3 instead of Gnome. Am I being blind or do I need to start i3 in some other way?

I don't want to hardcode i3 start as I would like the possibility to return to Gnome3.

Ctrl+Alt +F2 ...
 # systemctl restart gdm

and choose i3
